What is the Buylist?


The buylist is the bulk set of cards that your customers are interested in selling to your store. This feature is extremely convenient for your store, because it saves your employees from focusing solely on counting, grading, and valuing cards. Instead, the weight of the transaction falls on the customer. Once the buylist is approved, you can review the quality and gradings of each card and adjust the buy price as is needed. This will save time and allow your employees to focus on more pressing matters.


The buylist function in both Standard and Premium Theme 4 is incredibly convenient and is already mapped out for the ease of both you and your customers. Once enabled, your customers will have the opportunity to choose from one of the following card games:


  • Pokémon
  • Yu-Gi-Oh
  • MTG
  • Dragon Ball Super
  • Flesh and Blood


Following this, your customers can work through the list of cards they want to sell by card name and set. Customers can further select whether they would like to exchange their cards for cash or store credit. 


Getting Started


In order to add the buylist option to your main menu, you will need to be able to create / manage menu items. If you are unsure of how to do that, check out the article on How to Create and Manage Menu Items. 


Adding Buylist to the Main Menu


To begin:


  1. From your myShopify homepage, go to Online Store > Navigation
  2. From the Navigation page, click Main menu
  3. Click Add menu item
  4. Under Name, we recommend titling this section simply Buylist, as this will be what your customers see on your main menu
  5. Under Link, you must input #buylist
  6. Click Add
  7. Remember to click Save Menu before exiting this page
