Making Products Available Across Sales Channels
Sales Channels, generally speaking, are the paths your products take to get to your customers. These channels are wholly customizable through Shopify. This allows for your business to control where products are being sold and to control when and how they are sold. This allows for products to be specifically removed from certain Sales Channels. This is especially nice if you have seasonal or exclusive items that your business is seeking to sale. Other uses and examples include:
- Seasonal products with time-sensitive limited displays
- Products currently out of stock, but expecting a restock
- Products your business doesn't currently wish to sell, but may sell again in the future
- Online or in-store exclusive products
In order to view or change a product's Sales Channels, simply:
- From your store's MyShopify page, select Products
- From the Products page, search for and select the product being edited
- Check the Product Status section for product availability information
- Here product status can be adjusted between Active and Draft
- Select Manage under Sales Channels and Apps for more options
- Click Done
- Click Save
Please note that BinderPOS does not look at the Shopify status and these items will appear in the POS and sync with integrations even if they are in draft status
Adding or Removing Tags
Tags serve as keywords that allow for products to be searched for and found more easily. These help customers find products in online stores more easily and aid stores in quickly grouping products into collections based on their tags. Each product can be assigned up to 250 tags.

Archiving Products
If your store is seeking to hide a product from customer's sight, but avoid outright deleting the product, you can Archive this product. Archiving can be done to single products or to a group of products through a bulk action. When archived, a product will be moved to the archived tab of the Products page. In order to begin this process, follow these steps:
- From your store's MyShopify page, select Products
- From the Products page, search for and select the product being edited
- Scroll the the bottom of the page and select Archive Product
- Click Archive Product again
If you want to Unarchive a product, follow these steps:
- From your store's MyShopify page, select Products
- Select the Archived tab
- Find and select the product being unarchived
- Select Unarchive Product
Deleting Products
In order to permanently remove a product from your Shopify store, you can Delete the product. This action is irreversible and cannot be undone. Individual products can be deleted, while groups of products can be deleted through use of a bulk action. Remember that if the goal is simply to hide the products for the time being, Archiving products is also possible. In order to delete a product, follow these steps:
- From your store's MyShopify page, select Products
- From the Products page, search for and select the product being edited
- Scroll the the bottom of the page and select Delete Product
- Click Delete Product again
