Getting Started

Once the eBay integration is enabled and the policies have been set up, you can create Individual Settings in the integration. Creating Individual Settings allows you to list items that will override any bulk rules in place. These settings can be changed later if needed.

Adding Individual Settings

Before you begin your customization, these settings must be completed in order for a bulk rule to be made:

  1. Finish Setting up the following eBay Policies
    • Location
    • Payment
    • Returns
    • Fulfillment
  2. Click on the Individual Settings Tab
  3. Search for products you wish to create Individual Settings for

Once this has been completed, you can edit the item settings to create listings on eBay.

Creating an Individual Setting

Basic Rules

Once you have found a product that you wish to create an individual setting for, by using the advanced search in the integration, you have some options for editing the listing of the item, as well as some basic rules you can implement.

Enable Synchronization

You must check Enable Synchronization for the bulk rule to start listing items to eBay from the integration

Price Markup Percentage:

This is the percentage that you would like to mark up the prices of your items for the eBay listing only. The prices are directly pulled from the items you are making eBay listings for through the integration and any added percentage here will be applied to all items listed to eBay through this rule and is applied only to the eBay listing.

Reserve Stock:

When entering a number into this section, it tells the integration that the item listed through the Individual Setting must have more inventory than the number placed in the reserve stock section in order to create a listing on eBay. For example, if an item had 5 in stock, but had a reserve stock of 1, only 4 listings would be made. If an item had only one in stock and there is a reserve stock of 1, then a listing would not be made.

Maximum to List on eBay:

This is the maximum number of listings to be made on eBay from the integration. For example, if you have ten items in stock for an item with a maximum to list being 5, only 5 listings will be made on eBay. Once one of the items sells and the stock is now 9, there will still be 5 listings on eBay.

Price Override:

This will override the item price to whatever is input in this area for the eBay listing only.

Edit Listing and Listing Attributes

You must edit the attributes, category, and add policies in the Edit Listing section to create a listing to eBay as an individual setting

For the integration to create listings on eBay, you need to add a title and description. The easiest way to do this is to add attributes from the Insert Attribute drop down. When creating a setting, the title has less options than the listing description. Adding the Clean Title attribute is one of the easiest ways to create a unique listing name. In the Title, Mobile Description, and Listing Description, you can add in a combination of attributes and text to make the listing unique and suit your store's needs.

The Shopify Description attribute will add in any HTML code from the Shopify description and this may not translate well to eBay

Custom Attributes

Custom Attributes are attributes you may need to add to bulk or individual rules to properly list an item through the eBay integration. These attributes can be things like Game, Set, Brand, etc.

If your store is trying to list an item that needs these custom attributes, the item will have an error stating that it needs more information, like the Game, Set, Brand, etc. When this happens, you will need to utilize the Custom Attributes.

Custom attributes are oftentimes needed to create bulk settings for items that are not part of the BinderPOS catalog

Listing Condition and Category

The listing Condition and Category are mandatory to create a listing on eBay. You can search for a category that best suits what you are trying to list.

Default Condition:

The Default Condition works best with selecting the CCG Individual cards Category. Trading cards will not list to eBay if new is selected for the condition; this will cause the listing to give an error. The Default Condition will set the condition to new for all other categories.

If an error comes up stating that the condition does not match the category, then you will need to change the condition to default condition for the category selected

Update

Clicking the Update button will cause the integration to try and create the eBay listing. Clicking this is required to finalize your Individual Setting.

You can click on the Info icon to see if the Individual Setting created a listing to eBay; if there is an error in the Info section then please edit the listing until the info icon displays a success when clicking on it

Reset

This button will reset the listing settings back to the default for the item.

Sync

This button will sync the inventory once an individual listing has already been created in eBay.

If this button is clicked and a listing has not yet been made on eBay, an error will be displayed
