About Blog Posts


After creating a blog, you are ready to add posts to it. Your posts are incredibly versatile and customizable. You can choose to add text or images, adjust whether the publication of the post is immediate or delayed, and link these posts directly to your store's website. These posts are an excellent tool to help your customers stay in the loop about what your store is doing. 


Managing Blog Posts


Adding Posts to a Blog


  1. From your myShopify homepage, go to Online Store > Blog posts
  2. Click Add blog post
  3. On this page, enter a Title for your post. You cannot save without a title
  4. Input your post into the Content field. Please note that you can format your text and add images here
  5. Adjust settings for your post
    1. Author: Choose the name of the person who will be recognized as the post's author. Please note this drop-down menu will only have the name of the store owner and staff
    2. Blog: Choose the blog that you want this to be posted in. IF you want to create a new blog here, that is an option
  6. Optional: You can add a display image with the post. Click Featured image > Upload image
  7. If you are ready for your post to be viewable, select Visibility > Visible or select a specific publication date
  8. Click Save
